Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress born in Berkeley on October 1, 1995. She is an actress of renown who has appeared in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006,) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House.

Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is made up of actors and she has also been pursuing both careers. At the age of nine the actress made her acting debut in Sergio Cittis's Sogni e bisogni. She played the lead role in Cristina Comencini's Zoo (1988) as well as part of Michele Soavi's 1989 feature film The Church. She played Nanni Moretti's daughter the following year for Red Wood Pigeon (also directed Moretti) (1989). Close Friends (1992) by Michele Placido (both writer and director) was the point at which Asia really began to take off. This let her progress beyond the role of cute girls to more complicated, mature characters. The movie was well-received in the Cannes International Film Festival. Trauma was the first film she created together with her father. The mother of her, Daria Nicoledi, was Argento's most beloved actress. In Trauma she portrayed an anorexic looking for the killer of her parents. The Phantom of the Opera is her third movie alongside her father, with the first two films being Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's absorbed and intense approach to acting has also been used by Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a Nozze. Patrice Chereau directed her in Queen Margot in which she played a prominent role. The year 1995 was the first time she appeared in a film with Michel Piccoli as Traveling Companion in the film Peter Del Monte. This performance earned her a David di Donatello (for the top actor) as well as the Grolla of Oro. Asia began directing for profession in 1994. Her debut short film was Prospettive. The documentary she wrote about her father was followed by Abel/Asia (1998), a film which won an award in the Rome Film Festival, were each directed between 1996 and 1998. Asia debuted as a director of feature in Scarlet Diva (2000). In this film, she also starred and authored the screenplay. The film was released in May 2000 in Italy and the rest of the world. The film was released on Brooklyn, New York it received an award from the Williamsburg film festival. After directing a number of music videos and giving birth, she welcomed her first child, Anna Lou. She was in 2002 on the screen as The Red Siren by Olivier Megaton alongside Jean-Marc Bar and in the action thriller directed in the film by Rob Cohen, with Vin Diesel. Asia's short stories have also appeared in high-profile publications.
